Job Summary
The Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic is responsible for fueling, lubricating, and maintaining heavy equipment both in the shop and in the field. This role ensures smooth and reliable operation of all equipment, minimizing downtime and boosting productivity.

Essential Functions

1. Perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment, including changing oils, fluids, filters, and other routine tasks.
2. Repair machinery using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized equipment.
3. Communicate job status effectively to management.
4. Complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes and specifications.
5. Maintain safety standards in line with company policies.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Operational Excellence & Culture

• Promote safety-first mindset and compliance with safety protocols.

Experience Requirements

• Class A (recommended) or B CDL License (Required).
• Technical certification in automotive or diesel mechanics is a plus.
• At least 2 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment systems, fuel types, and lubrication procedures.
• Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance tools.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and maintenance schedules.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Standing or walking.
• Lifting or carrying over 50 lbs frequently.
• Pushing or pulling.
• Reaching overhead or at shoulder level.
• Operating foot or leg controls on machinery.
• Driving passenger vehicles or equipment.

Education Requirements

High School diploma or GED.

Safety

Adherence to safety procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.

Travel

Travel to job sites is required.
