Job Description

We are looking for a talented, experienced Excavator Operator to join our diverse team of construction experts. The ideal candidate will have extensive excavating experience, as well as the ability to operate heavy machinery and work with minimal supervision. Excellent benefits await the successful candidate, and salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, rollers, haul trucks, or other excavating equipment.
• Primarily operate a range of excavators.
• Load, unload, secure machines on trailers, and transport to job sites.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Work alone or with others to complete tasks.
• Collaborate with construction crews to perform grading, trenching, foundation work, septic system installation, driveway construction, retaining walls, etc.
• Exercise good judgment and follow safe practices to avoid hazards.
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Monitor hydraulic oil levels and pressure to prevent equipment damage.
• Operate GPS & Topcon laser systems.
• Understand pipe layout and pitch.
• Install roads, driveways, parking lots, septic systems, and foundations.
• Work on residential and commercial projects.

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time
• Pay: $25-$40/hour based on experience
• Benefits include flexible schedule, paid time off, overtime, weekend availability, access to retirement investments, and insurance programs.
• Supplemental pay: Bonus pay

Location & Requirements:

• Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Rhinebeck, NY.
• Experience: 5+ years in heavy equipment operation, 5 years in excavator operation, 3 years with CDL A.
• License/Certification: Valid state driver’s license and CDL A required.
