Job summary

Dynamic Equipment Group in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a mid-level Diesel Shop Mechanic to drive service operations with expert diagnostics and mechanical mastery. You will own basic to intermediate repairs, work with some autonomy, mentor junior technicians, and help manage warranty documentation to maximize fleet uptime.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of hands-on experience, and owns a standard toolset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years hands-on mechanic experience or recent tech/vocational school graduation.
• Must own standard mechanic toolset.
• Strong knowledge of heavy/construction equipment.
• Proficient in reading electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and service software.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commitment to safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot in shop and in the field.
• Ensure rental-ready and fully operational equipment.
• Complete service reports and documentation.
• Communicate estimated repair times to supervisors.
• Track parts orders for assigned jobs.
• Maintain tools per OSHA safety standards.
• Report unsafe conditions to management.
