Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials is seeking a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic for our Midlothian, TX location. You will diagnose, overhaul, repair, and maintain a range of mobile equipment, including diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, and power takeoffs.

The role requires hands-on skills with welding, hydraulics, and electrical systems. You will work in a team, follow safety procedures, and maintain records of preventative maintenance while using manuals and online resources to

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of maintaining heavy mobile equipment.
• Experience with diesel and gasoline engines.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade school or related mechanical/technical certification preferred.
• Ability to read manuals and understand schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mobile equipment promptly.
• Overhaul and rebuild diesel and gasoline engines per specs.
• Repair or rebuild transmissions efficiently.
• Replace worn clutches and perform driveline repairs.
• Repair power takeoff units and air conditioning systems.
• Repair brakes on mobile equipment and troubleshoot electrical/hydraulic issues.
• Read schematics and use tools to perform required repairs.
• Maintain safety and keep the workspace clean.
