Job summary

Brandeis Machinery in Lexington, KY is seeking a service technician to repair a wide range of heavy equipment, from engine overhauls to hydraulic repairs. You will diagnose issues, disassemble machines, order parts, reassemble, and test operation to ensure leaks are fixed and units are ready for work.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years in heavy equipment, strong communication and math skills, proficiency with computers and diagnostic software, and the ability to lift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in heavy equipment industry or related field preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills.
• Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office and diagnostic programs.
• Good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work at heights up to 15 ft.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems and diagnose failures.
• Perform diagnostics, check pressures, voltages, and diagnose sources of noise or vibration.
• Disassemble machine, order parts, repair, reassemble, and test operation to ensure leak-free, ready-for-work unit.
• Clean parts, prepare for assembly, and maintain safety and cleanliness in the work area.
• Travel to jobsites and participate in vendor training as needed.
