We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with a strong background in structural demolition. This role requires hands-on expertise in tearing down residential and commercial structures, managing site logistics, and maintaining equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
This is not an entry-level role. Candidates must be confident operating independently on active demolition sites.
Operate heavy equipment including excavators, skid steers, and loaders for demolition projects
Perform structural demolition of residential and commercial buildings
Execute precise demolition techniques while maintaining safety and structural control
Manage site logistics including material staging, debris flow, and equipment positioning
Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections
Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
Work closely with crew leads and project managers to execute job plans
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations
Assist with manual labor as needed to support crew efficiency
Some travel required
Minimum 5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in demolition
Proven experience with full structural tear-downs (residential and commercial)
Strong understanding of demolition sequencing and site safety protocols
Ability to read job scopes and execute with minimal supervision
Experience managing site flow and logistics efficiently
Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
High level of accountability and professionalism
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environments
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
