Job summary

The Dixon Group in Chestertown, MD is hiring a Heavy Assembler to join our Dixon Specialty Products division. This role involves insulating, armor and testing hoses, assembling machinery components according to specs and blueprints, and using hand and power tools.

You’ll work 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with pay range $18 to $20 per hour. High school diploma required; welding experience is a plus and veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Insulate, armor and test small and large bore hoses.
• Assemble heavy machinery components according to specifications and blueprints.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assembly tasks.
• Perform quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure functionality and safety.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve assembly challenges.
• Document assembly processes and report discrepancies or concerns to supervisors.
• Prepare and package parts for shipment according to company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
