Job summary

The Dixon Group, based in Chestertown, Maryland, is hiring a Heavy Assembler to build and test industrial hoses and related components. This on-site role requires inspecting, insulating, armoring, and assembling parts using hand and power tools, reading blueprints, and following strict safety procedures.

Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a pay range of $18 to $20 per hour. The position offers competitive benefits, potential weld experience value, and opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to qualify for on-site assembly work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools; weld experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Insulate, armor and test hoses according to specs.
• Assemble heavy machinery components following blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools and specialized equipment for tasks.
• Perform quality checks to ensure safety and function.
• Collaborate with engineering/production to resolve issues.
• Document processes and report concerns to supervisors.
• Prepare and package parts for shipment per standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety protocols.
• Follow all company procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
