Job summary

The Dixon Group in Chestertown, MD is seeking a Heavy Assembler to build and test industrial equipment, including insulating and armor for hoses. You will work with large-scale components, read blueprints, and use hand and power tools in a safety-focused environment.

Typical hours are 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a pay range of $18 to $20 per hour. Welding experience is a strong plus and veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Insulate, armor and test small and large bore hoses.
• Assemble heavy machinery components according to specifications and blueprints.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assembly tasks.
• Perform quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure functionality and safety.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve assembly challenges.
• Document assembly processes and report discrepancies or concerns to supervisors.
• Prepare and package parts for shipment according to company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
