Job summary

Caterpillar is hiring for a 1st shift assembler in Sanford, NC to assemble and test parts for heavy equipment. You will follow standard work, maintain a clean work area, and rotate through tasks to stay productive while meeting safety standards.

We offer Day ONE benefits, a quarterly bonus potential, paid time off, and comprehensive training. The schedule is Monday–Thursday with overtime as needed, starting pay at $20.20 per hour.

Qualifications

• 6 months of heavy equipment machine assembly experience.
• Follow Standard Work and routings.
• Rely on independent decision‑making and problem solving to complete tasks.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
• Effective communication skills and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble/test parts, components, or systems for machines according to work orders.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Rotate to various positions within the function area.
• Use tools to perform assembly and may lift heavy components over 35 lbs.
• Follow documented procedures and blueprints to ensure safe, defect‑free assembly.
