Cogent Analytics’ client—a family-owned truck and trailer repair shop—needs a qualified Service Technician (Heavy-Duty) to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Expect onsite diagnostics, use of OEM software, and strict adherence to safety and record-keeping standards.

The role focuses on aftertreatment, brake, transmission, suspension, tires, A/C, and electrical systems, with an emphasis on accurate documentation and professional service delivery in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license.
Experience repairing and maintaining heavy-duty trucks or equipment.
Able to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on commercial vehicles.
Experience with aftertreatment, brake, transmission, suspension, tire/wheel, A/C, and electrical systems.
Ability to document repairs accurately and work independently in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

Perform onsite diagnostic and repair work on heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
Use OEM diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate with fleet managers.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Diagnose and service aftertreatment systems, brake systems, transmissions and clutches, suspension, tires and wheels, A/C, and lighting.
Document diagnostics and repairs on service orders and communicate findings to management.
