Job summary

Magheavyequipment is seeking a Truck Engine Technician in Belgrade, MT. The role involves servicing and repairing class 6-8 heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines, with extensive on-the-job and classroom training to advance through the technician program.

The ideal candidate will contribute to customer service excellence, work well in a team, and demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills. The position requires adherence to safety standards and the ability to work in the field as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year working experience in mechanical repairs or related field.
• Experience with basic PC use and typing is required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety standards and procedures.
• Plan and perform minor repairs with appropriate tools and methods.
• Order and return parts in a timely manner for assigned jobs.
• Work on engines, brakes, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical components including removal/installations, disassembly/reassembly, and minor adjustments.
• Perform preventive maintenance following manufacturer guidelines.
• Demonstrate proficiency with service information systems.
• Assist as a helper in field service operations with an experienced technician when needed.
• Capable of working independently in the field when required.
