Job summary

Snider Fleet Solutions is looking for a skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanic to work at various locations. This role involves routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, emphasizing preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience required.
• Valid Class C Driver's License is necessary.
• Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification should be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Snider Fleet Solutions is seeking a skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team across multiple locations. In this role, you will perform essential maintenance and repairs on heavy‑duty trucks and trailers, focusing on tasks such as preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and completing all associated paperwork. This position does not involve heavy engine or transmission repair.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience – required
• Valid Class C Driver's License
• Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification required (within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance tasks and accompanying documentation
• Repair and maintain heavy‑duty trucks and trailers
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections, brake job, brake chamber, and slack adjuster replacement, wheel seal replacement and wheel end adjustment
• Identify all system parts for potential damage, excessive wear, loose bolts, broken welds, structural deficiencies, air leaks, oil leaks, or rusted components, and ensure safety devices on all types of trailers
• Complete DOT forms and all other required documentation accurately
• Accurately fill out work order forms and ensure all parts are included
• Follow safety protocols and company policies
