Role Description

The Heavy Duty Truck A Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Fort Mill, SC. In this role, the technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and waste collection vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs on engines, hydraulics, brakes, and other key systems, and documenting all work performed. The technician will inspect equipment, identify potential problems before failures occur, and follow company and regulatory safety standards. Collaboration with other technicians and operations staff to minimize vehicle downtime and support reliable service delivery is expected.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in equipment maintenance and vehicle maintenance to keep heavy-duty trucks and related equipment in safe working condition.
• Candidates should possess skills in equipment repair and troubleshooting to diagnose issues accurately and perform effective mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Candidates should possess experience working with heavy equipment, including heavy-duty trucks and hydraulic systems, preferably in waste, construction, or transportation environments.
• Relevant technical training or certification in diesel technology, automotive or truck repair, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and safety guidelines, and to use diagnostic tools and software.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
