Caron Transportation Systems USA is seeking a full-time Mechanic Helper at our Williston, ND terminal. You will support inspections, preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment under the guidance of experienced diesel mechanics.

The role offers hands-on experience with tractors, trailers, and fleet equipment, developing mechanical knowledge, safety practices, and technical skills in a dynamic oil & gas logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in automotive repair, diesel maintenance, or related mechanical field is preferred but not required.
• Vocational training or enrollment in a diesel/automotive program is an asset.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in learning heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and shop safety practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist diesel mechanics with inspections, preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes, lubrication, fluid checks, tire inspections, and basic component replacements under supervision.
• Assist with brakes, suspension, steering, air systems, electrical components, and other mechanical systems.
