Job summary

EnergiPersonnel is seeking a Field Technician – Heavy Equipment in Midland, TX. You’ll perform field repairs, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment deliveries/pickups across local job sites with home time every night.

Requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands‑on repair experience, and experience operating heavy equipment. Valid driver's license and ability to pull trailers are essential; welding is a plus. Local travel, independent work, and safety focus are expected.

Responsibilities

Field Technician – Heavy Equipment

Now Hiring Immediately.

Location: Midland, TX

We’re hiring a Field Technician with hands‑on mechanical ability and experience of operating and transporting heavy equipment. You’ll perform field repairs, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment deliveries/pickups across local job sites. Travel is required, but you’ll be home every night.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance on heavy equipment: oil changes, air filters, tire changes, fluid checks, and general service
• Troubleshooting mechanical issues in the field
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to ensure equipment reliability
• Safely pull trailers, secure loads, and transport heavy equipment
• Load and unload heavy equipment using proper safety procedures
• Deliver and pick up heavy equipment at customer locations
• Operate and move heavy equipment efficiently and safelyComplete service logs and communicate equipment status
• Local travel to job sites throughout the Permian Basin
• Participate in on‑call rotation every other weekend

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on repair experience
• Must have experience operating heavy equipment
• Must be able to pull trailers and safely transport equipment
• Must be able to load/unload heavy equipment
• Must have own tools suitable for field repairs
• Welding experience preferred for minor welding tasks
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR
• Comfortable with local travel; home every night
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently
