Job summary

Oaklawn is seeking an Heavy Duty EVS team member to maintain the interior and exterior areas of the casino facility in alignment with Oaklawn’s core values. The role emphasizes friendly, professional service for guests and Team Members within the hotel/casino environment.

The position involves cleaning duties, chemical handling, and operating cleaning equipment, with potential assignments across various venues as needed to support business operations.

Qualifications

• Guest service experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform the physical job duties of EVS team members.
• Ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems diplomatically.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
• Mixes chemicals and operates carpet shampooer and buffer.
• Moves furniture and cleans assigned area.
• Maintains and cleans machines after use.
• Provides excellent guest services, treating guests and team members with courtesy and consideration at all times.
• Cooperates and communicates with all fellow team members, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude.
• Maintains excellent working relationships with other departments and all applicable regulatory commissions and vendors as needed.
• May be assigned to various venues throughout the property depending on business needs.
• Follows established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
