Job summary

A family-owned truck dealership in Davenport, Iowa seeks a Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician to diagnose, service, and repair heavy-duty trucks. Qualifications

• Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and must be insurable, CDL preferred.
• 2 years of tech school and 2 years of experience in heavy-duty truck repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair heavy-duty trucks.
• Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify deficiencies.
• Complete engine overhauls and other repairs.

Solid working knowledge of power tools

Strong mechanical aptitude

Excellent communication skills

Good customer service skills

Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Education

High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

2 years of tech school and 2 years of experience

Certifications from OEMs in the trucking industry
