Job summary

GTG Peterbilt – Waterloo is seeking experienced medium/heavy-duty technicians to service and repair heavy-duty trucks for all makes and models. Hours are noon to 8:30 pm, with opportunities to grow within a newer Waterloo shop.

The company offers manufacturer training, a signing bonus ($2,000 to $5,000), up to $40 per hour compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer match, holidays & PTO.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; OEM certifications a plus.
• 2 yrs tech school and 2 yrs experience in heavy duty truck repair or 3–5 yrs of related experience preferred.
• Combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect units and diagnose deficiencies to determine condition.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure performance per specs.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
