Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers is seeking a Diesel Technician in Lake City, FL to repair and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks. You will diagnose complex issues, repair transmissions and engines, and document all work performed. A strong focus on safety and collaboration with service staff is essential.

The role requires experience in commercial vehicle repair, with a preference for 3–5 years, a valid driver's license, and basic computer skills for diagnostics. Compensation is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with commercial vehicle repair preferred.
• CDL a plus and valid driver's license.
• Computer experience needed for diagnostics and research.

Responsibilities

• Accurate diagnosis and repair of transmissions, rear-ends, engines, and related components.
• Disassembly and re-assembly of parts and systems as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document all work.
• Communicate with parts department and service advisor.
• Write detailed work notes and ensure safe movement of trucks within shop.
