Clean Harbors in Logan Township, NJ is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to join our safety-conscious team. You will repair and perform preventative maintenance on the company fleet.

Responsibilities include PM tasks, oil changes, batteries, inspections, and ensuring DOT compliance, with a focus on safe operations and proper vehicle care. We offer competitive wages and growth opportunities within a nationwide environmental services leader.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience on heavy duty-trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications preferred.
• Ability to pass background, drug, and physical test.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Move company equipment safely on yard as needed
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery
• Complete daily checklist as required
• Assure that Equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility via housekeeping duties
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
