Job summary

The Mechanic position in Jamestown, NY supports Heidelberg’s Southern Tier operations by performing preventative and reactive maintenance on a fleet of 20 trucks. Working from the Jamestown shop, you will diagnose, repair, and service heavy‑duty diesel equipment, ensuring safety and reliability.

You will document service actions, collaborate with a team, and adapt to evolving maintenance procedures while upholding company standards and safety protocols.

Job description

The Mechanic at Jamestown NY is responsible for the preventative and reactive

maintenance for a fleet of 20 trucks operating out of Jamestown, Allegany and Dunkirk.

Operating out of the Jamestown shop and reporting to the plant manager, this position

is critical for the operational success of Heidelberg’s Southern Tier business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty diesel equipment


• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems


• Ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with company standards


• Maintain accurate service records and documentation


• Collaborate with team members to prioritize and complete work efficiently
