Job summary

McCarthy Tire Service is seeking an experienced Body Shop Technician – Heavy Duty to repair, rebuild, and restore heavy-duty truck bodies, frames, and structural components. This role requires skilled MIG and TIG welding, fabrication, and precision to meet safety and quality standards.

You will work with mechanics and painters to complete repairs efficiently, with a focus on craftsmanship, safety, and reliability. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience performing heavy-duty body repairs, fabrication, and structural restoration.
• Strong welding, cutting, and metal forming techniques.
• Knowledge of heavy-duty truck bodies, frames, suspension systems, and related components.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate hand tools, power tools, and body shop equipment.
• Technical training or education in automotive, diesel, or collision repair is considered an asset.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace damaged truck body panels, frames, and structural components.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and oxy-acetylene welding on steel and aluminum.
• Straighten and align frames using frame machines and measuring systems.
• Cut, shape, and fabricate metal parts, including custom panels and components.
• Prep, paint, and finish truck body components.
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with mechanics, painters, and other technicians to complete repairs efficiently.
