About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Leading Hands to join our team at one of two newly renewed site contracts within the Goldfields region.
In this role, you will oversee a small team ensuring all maintenance and repair work on Heavy Underground Equipment is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You’ll be hands-on while also assisting with planning, mentoring, and troubleshooting.
Full time position
FIFO from Perth or Kalgoorlie residential positions available
7/7 Roster
12 Hour Day/ Night shift
Super paid on all hours worked
Role duties may include, but are not limited to:
Lead and coordinate a diverse team of tradespeople, ensuring high-quality maintenance and repair of Heavy Underground Equipment (e.g., CAT, Volvo, Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet, and Toyota).
Oversee daily workflow and job allocations, prioritising tasks to meet operational deadlines.
Conduct regular inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Liaise with supervisors, and client representatives to coordinate maintenance activities and reduce equipment downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repair documentation.
Requirements:
Willing to work underground
Proven experience in a leading hand role (desirable)
Experience on underground machinery
Current Manual Driver’s License (HR preferred)
Full Australian working rights
National Police Clearance
FIFO applicants must reside within WA
