Job summary

Millstone Weber is seeking a construction laborer to perform physical tasks on highway and heavy construction projects. You will operate hand and power tools, assist in paving preparation, and support other craft workers as needed.

Work is outdoors in various weather conditions, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and reliability. A valid driver’s license is required, and high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
• Must be able to perform strenuous manual labor and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on highway and heavy/highway construction projects.
• Prepare surfaces for paving and shovel asphalt into construction areas.
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix and excavate trenches.
• Maintain a clean, safe job site and store materials properly.
• Load and unload trucks and assist with safety reporting procedures.
