Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Field Engineer to support digital layout and GPS modeling for projects across North Carolina. The role requires 3+ years in construction, layout, or surveying, with experience in AutoCAD and Trimble. Successful candidates will possess strong communication skills and the ability to create digital survey models. This is a hands-on position with occasional travel required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree preferred.
• 3+ years in construction, layout, or surveying.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Trimble is necessary.
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage digital survey models.
• Transfer GPS and CAD data to/from field teams.
• Assist with layout, calibration, and survey setup.
• Support drone aerial surveys with a Part 107 license.
• Create digital as-builts and closeout documentation.
• Provide field tech support for Trimble and AutoCAD.
