The Illinois Department of Transportation seeks a Heavy Construction Equipment Operator for DuPage County/Naperville Team. Under supervision, you will maintain roads, bridges and related infrastructure, operating CDL-class vehicles and heavy machinery to support daily highway work.

Qualified applicants have 2 years of equipment operation experience, a valid Class A CDL with air brakes, and the ability to work in a fully in-office, in-person environment in Naperville, Illinois.

Qualificações

• Requires two years of experience operating highway construction equipment.
• Requires one year driving experience immediately preceding appointment free from incidents which could result in license suspension or revocation.
• Class CDL with air brakes preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Operate CDL Class A vehicles including maintenance trucks and snowplows.
• Maintain and repair roads, bridges and related structures as part of highway upkeep.
• Perform daily maintenance on heavy equipment and coordinate with the supervisor for routine tasks.
