Job summary

Seneca Resorts & Casinos in Salamanca, NY is seeking a Heavy Cleaner to maintain cleanliness across casino, hotel lobby, spa, back of house and restaurants. You will operate buffers, burnishers and carpet cleaners, whether solo or in a team, while following policy and safety guidelines.

Applicants should have strong communication skills, prior customer service experience, and familiarity with cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• High school diploma or its equivalency preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must be familiar with proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Knowledge in operation of cleaning machines such as buffers, burnishers, carpet cleaning machines, escalator cleaning machines and other miscellaneous cleaning equipment.
• Previous housekeeping experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the casino, hotel lobby, spa/salon, back of house and restaurants.
• Operate cleaning machines to ensure consistent cleanliness.
• Carry out individual assignments and work with a group.
• Maintain knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
• Follow information security policies as required by Seneca Gaming Corporation.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patrons and maintain professionalism.
• Attend required meetings and complete training within nine months.

The Heavy Cleaner will be responsible for the cleanliness of all public areas and non-public areas according to casino standards. All duties must be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the casino, hotel lobby, spa/salon, back of house and restaurants. Duties include the operation of cleaning machines such as buffers, burnishers, carpet cleaning machines, escalator cleaning machines and other miscellaneous cleaning equipment to ensure consistent cleanliness.
• Required to carry out individual assignments as well as working with a group.
• Must have basic knowledge of and work with various cleaning chemicals.
• Assist in other projects as directed. As necessary, heavy cleaners will be required to complete light cleaning tasks such as restroom and floor attendants.
• Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
• Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
• Attend all necessary meetings.
• Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

Education/Experience

Salary Starting Rate

$16.16

Compensation Is Negotiable Based On Experience And Education.
