Job summary

Timberline Construction Group seeks an experienced Underground Utilities Foreman to lead water and sewer installation projects, supervising a crew of 4–6 and performing hands-on field support. The first assignment is in Sevierville, Tennessee, with future travel to other sites as needed.

You will read plans, coordinate with the Superintendent, ensure safety compliance, manage production and quality, and maintain project timelines.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of field experience as a foreman.
• Knowledge of water and sewer installation and trenching.
• Ability to read plans and coordinate crews.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Willingness to travel for projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct underground utility installation, trenching, pipe laying, backfill and related earthwork.
• Lead the crew in the field and provide hands-on support as needed.
• Coordinate work around existing utilities and ensure installations meet plan, grade and project requirements.
• Monitor production, quality and schedule; resolve field issues promptly.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, inspections and upcoming work with the Superintendent.
• Enforce trench safety and other jobsite safety requirements.
• Complete daily timesheets, progress reports and as-built documentation.

Underground Utilities Foreman - Civil Division

Travel Position | First Project: Sevierville, Tennessee
Pay: $35-$40 per hour, based on experience; overtime paid

Timberline Construction Group is seeking an experienced Underground Utilities Foreman to lead water, sewer, and related utility work. You will supervise a crew of approximately 4-6 people, provide hands-on support in the field, and coordinate daily activities with the project Superintendent.

This is a travel position. Your first project will be in Sevierville, Tennessee, with future assignments based on project needs.

What You'll Do

• Plan and direct underground utility installation, trenching, pipe laying, backfill, and related earthwork.
• Lead the crew in the field and provide hands-on support when needed.

What You'll Bring

• At least five years of field experience as a foreman, including experience leading underground utility crews.
• Strong knowledge of water and sewer installation, trenching, pipe materials, and utility construction methods.
• Ability to read plans, organize crews, and communicate clearly with the Superintendent and field team.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel for project assignments.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A CDL is preferred.

Schedule: Day shift; approximately 40-60 hours per week. Weekends may be required.
