B&S Site Development in Manassas, VA, is seeking a Heavy Civil Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple active jobsites.

You will oversee safety, scheduling, coordination of crews and subcontractors, and ensure projects meet design, budget, and schedule.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in site development or heavy civil construction, strong leadership, and solid communication skills.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in site development or heavy civil construction.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience as a Superintendent or similar leadership role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting civil plans and construction documents.
• Strong understanding of grading, utility installation, stormwater management, and paving.
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to lead and motivate field personnel effectively.
• Excellent organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Competency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, project management software).
• Valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 30 Certification strongly preferred.

• Maintain accurate records including daily reports, timecards, and material logs.

Job Overview : Heavy Civil Superintendents are responsible for managing the field operations across multiple active jobsites. The role requires advanced knowledge of heavy civil construction, strong leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to solving problems. The Superintendent will beresponsible for project execution, safety, scheduling, coordination of subcontractors, and ensuring projects stay on time and within budget.
