Senior Executive Recruiter at LHH | A beautiful working world

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Oversee the preparation of comprehensive estimates for construction projects, covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, bid closeout, and submission.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and the Chief Estimator to assess project scope and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contracts to determine project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges or risks related to project costs and propose effective solutions.
• Keep abreast of market trends, labor rates, and material costs to ensure estimates are both competitive and accurate.
• Assist in the preparation and review of bids, ensuring they are thorough and competitive.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather accurate pricing information.
• Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure the accuracy of estimates and adherence to deadlines.
• Provide support post-bid by reviewing awarded contracts, verifying pricing, and aiding in the transition to project execution.

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator.
• Proven experience in estimating projects valued at over $50 million.
• Expertise in estimating heavy civil projects, including highways, municipal roadways, mass excavation, grading projects, residential or commercial sites, and small or large diameter sewer, water, or drainage utility projects. Experience with CDOT and local agencies is preferred.
• Proficiency with HCSS Heavy Bid and Agtek.
• Strong mathematical and computer skills, with proficiency in all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
