Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Heavy Civil Project Manager with extensive experience managing both public and private heavy civil construction projects in Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, including earthwork, utilities, bridges, and roadways, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations. This role requires strong leadership, project management expertise, and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of heavy civil construction projects in both public and private sectors
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure project goals are met
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings, providing updates on progress, challenges, and solutions
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, environmental standards, and local codes
  • Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Oversee subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality and schedule requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential project challenges
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to promote future opportunities
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to project teams and junior staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects
  • Experience with both public (e.g., DOT, municipal) and private infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Familiarity with Pennsylvania construction regulations and permitting requirements
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of project execution

Experience:

  • Experience with bridge construction, roadways, utilities, and large-scale site development projects
  • Knowledge of public bidding processes and private sector contract negotiations
