Wright Brothers Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support our heavy civil operations in the Chimney Rock, NC area. This role oversees on-site highway and civil construction activities, ensuring projects run safely, efficiently, and per plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in highway or heavy civil construction preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with HCSS HeavyJob, CAD, or Viewpoint is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and enforce company safety policies and procedures on all job sites.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Conduct and document site inspections (traffic control, trench safety, environmental compliance, etc.).
• Lead required safety and environmental reporting for project owners.
• Ensure compliance with owner-specific safety programs.
• Assist in developing and implementing safety training initiatives.
