Job description

What a day looks likeIn this role, you’re the connective tissue between the office and the field. Your morning might start by syncing last night’s HCSS/HeavyJob entries with Excel to validate quantities and cost codes, then moving straight into prepping RFIs and submittals for the Project Manager’s review. By mid-day, you’re on site verifying takeoffs, updating redlines and as-builts, and confirming delivery tickets and certifications for materials you ordered under the correct job codes. In the afternoon, you’re back at your desk organizing subcontractor quotes, aligning look-ahead schedules with the Superintendent’s plan and the project budget, and pushing progress updates into the master schedule so milestones stay visible and reliable. All the while, you’re coordinating survey requests, permits, utility locates, inspections, and vendor deliveries, addressing plan discrepancies with the field team, and keeping owners, inspectors, and designers informed via email and project portals. As projects approach closeout, you’ll assemble final quantities, warranties, and documentation, drive punch list resolution, and capture lessons learned and revenue projections with the PM. You’ll also support EOS-style rhythms by participating in Rocks, Scorecards, D10s, and recurring reporting. And yes—there will be other duties as assigned that keep our jobs moving and our clients confident.Core contributionsDevelop RFIs, submittals, subcontract packages, and preconstruction deliverables for PM review.Keep drawing logs, current plan sets, job files, and digital repositories tidy and up to date.Assist with preconstruction turnover, procurement strategy, and contract/document review.Seek and organize vendor and subcontractor proposals; compare scopes and pricing.Track production, cost codes, and performance using HCSS/HeavyJob and Excel; support monthly pay estimates and quantity verification.Maintain redlines, as-builts, delay documentation, and quantity adjustments across the project life cycle.Conduct site walks to validate installed work and gather field data in support of operations.Build look-ahead schedules for Superintendents and align them with budgets; update master schedules with progress and milestone shifts.Coordinate surveys, permits, utility locates, inspections, deliveries, and subcontractor activities.Troubleshoot drawing conflicts, materials challenges, and paperwork gaps with field teams.Order materials with correct coding and quantities; confirm delivery tickets and spec compliance; maintain logs and certification records.Serve as the primary vendor point of contact and a secondary support for subcontractor coordination.Track materials from procurement through installation; maintain production sheets, meeting notes, schedule updates, and revision logs.Communicate with owners, inspectors, and designers via email and project portals.Assist with traffic control plans, ROW permits, SWPPP, and municipal submissions.Assemble closeout packages, final quantities, warranties, and subcontractor closeout documents; drive punch list tracking and completion.Support PM with lessons learned, revenue forecasts, and final documentation; participate in Rocks, Scorecards, D10s, and required reporting. What you bringBS preferred in Construction Science/Management/Engineering (or related).0–3+ years in construction or infrastructure environments preferred.Fluency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and HCSS/HeavyJob; eagerness to master scheduling and cost management tools.Ability to interpret civil plans and profiles, utility drawings, specs, and standards.Clear, professional communication with field crews, PM staff, vendors, and owners.Strong organization and attention to detail; able to manage multiple deadlines independently.Confident, data-informed decision-making in both office and field settings.Valid Texas Driver’s License required.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Physical demandsThis is a blended office/field position.
