Job summary

Ferrovial Construction is seeking an on-site heavy equipment operator to operate crawler or rubber-tired machines with excavator attachments. The role encompasses excavating, loading, and coordinating with trucks while maintaining safety and efficiency on active job sites.

The ideal candidate will have minimal formal education beyond high school and related construction experience, with strong manual dexterity and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Less than a High School Diploma and related construction experience.
• Manual dexterity required to reach/handle items and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers to operate machines.
• Signal truck driver to position the truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials.
• Take actions to avoid hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, and other workers.
• May oil, grease, or service the machine.
• Make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.
