Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting is seeking a Heavy Civil Estimator for Baton Rouge, onsite. You will prepare estimates for earthwork, site development, and utility projects, and review plans and specs to ensure accurate takeoffs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy civil estimating experience.
• Strong earthwork, grading, excavation, and site development background.
• Experience bidding projects in the $3M-$5M+ range.
• Proficiency with HeavyBid, BlueBeam, Agtek or similar estimating software.
• Experience with public and private construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for heavy civil, earthwork, site development, and utility-related projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and site conditions.
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and pricing strategies.
• Work closely with operations and project teams on public and private sector projects.
• Support projects ranging from small site packages to large-scale infrastructure work.
