Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Senior Estimators develop and deliver complete construction estimates for projects in public works and heavy civil construction. Responsibilities include:

1. Oversee estimating process, including soliciting bids and tracking estimates
2. Assist in preparing technical narratives for RFP and RFQ responses
3. Develop and communicate process improvements
4. Ensure timely completion of estimates within deadlines and budgets
5. Participate in professional organizations to stay updated on industry trends

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years in estimating
• Knowledge of earthwork and concrete construction practices
• Expertise with unit price contracting
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, Insite takeoff (preferred)
• Availability to travel regionally
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (preferred)
