Job description

DBA Construction is looking for a hardworking, experienced concrete finisher-Form Setter to join our team. We value individuals who take pride in their work and demonstrate integrity. If you have heart, determination, and integrity, we encourage you to apply and become part of our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Dig, spread, and level dirt, sand, and gravel using hand tools.
• Lift, carry, and manually transport construction materials, tools, and supplies.
• Clean tools, equipment, materials, and the work area.
• Mix and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials using hand tools.
• Join, wrap, and seal sections of pipe.
• Perform routine non-machine tasks such as removing forms, filling excavations, placing pipe sections in trenches, and assembling pipe sections.
• Assist with machine tasks like soil tamping, jackhammering, and pipe fusing.
• Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership through example and sharing knowledge/skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience as a concrete skilled laborer.
• Knowledge of construction specifications and etiquette.
• Hardworking with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to move throughout the construction site, including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must perform physically strenuous activities and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Manual dexterity to handle tools and work with small parts.
• Own finishing tools, nail bags, and steel boots.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
• Provide valid documentation for I-9 verification.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
