Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation in Fort Myers, Florida seeks a Carpenter for heavy civil construction to construct concrete forming systems per blueprints and specifications. You will read plans, use power tools, and work safely with scaffolding and heavy form systems to support bridge projects.

Preferred candidates have 3+ years of bridge-related experience, knowledge of concrete pumps and rebar installation, and a strong team-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in bridge work.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with using and maintaining power equipment.
• Knowledge of concrete pumps and rebar installation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Safety policies and procedures.
• Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures, scaffolding and framework using hand and power tools.
• Interprets blueprints to determine dimensions and material needs.
• Uses power equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensure proper safety scaffolding is in place during tasks.
• Secure and put away tools and materials at end of day.
