Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation in West Haven, CT is seeking a Carpenter to assemble concrete forming systems per blueprints and project specs. You will interpret plans and use hand and power tools to build structures, scaffolding, and framework on heavy civil sites.

We emphasize safety compliance, teamwork, and dependable collaboration with field crews. The role requires 3+ years in bridge work, knowledge of form systems, and familiarity with pumps, rebar, and leveling tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in bridge work.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints; 3 years of assembly/disassembly of heavy form systems.
• Knowledge of concrete pumps, placement/finishing, rebar installation is a plus.
• Prior rigging knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with leveling tools such as laser levels and transits.
• Knowledge of using and maintaining power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures, scaffolding and framework using hand and power tools.
• Interprets blueprints, sketches, or building plans in preparation of layout.
• Adheres to safety policies and ensures proper safety scaffolding and equipment in place.
• Secures and stores tools, equipment, and materials at end of day.
