Job summary

Sundt Construction seeks a Marketing & Business Development professional to collaborate with market sector champions and pursue opportunities within defined markets. You will assist in market research, lead generation, pre-win strategies, and proposals to win new business.

The role includes two progression steps based on experience, with 1–4 years for Step I and 5+ years for Step II, involving larger or more complex projects or markets.

  • 2+ years business development/marketing work in a construction related industry.
  • 4+ years marketing experience.

  • Assists in developing pre-win strategies.
  • Supports the Business Development Manager with public relations activities.
  • Coordinates relationship management meetings with key industry contacts and business partners.
  • Executes profit centers marketing plan.
  • Manages relationships in one or more market sectors/area.
  • Participates in activities to support the company's strategic planning efforts.
  • Schedules and records debriefs on all proposed projects, awarded or not.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists in the development of pre-win strategies.
  • Assists the Business Development Manager with public relation activities.
  • Coordinates relationship management meetings with key industry contacts and business partners.
  • Executes profit centers marketing plan.
  • Manages relationships in one or more market sectors/area.
  • Participates in activities to support the company's strategic planning efforts.
  • Schedules and records debriefs on all proposed projects, awarded or not.
  • Skilled in the use of the company's business development support tools (project database, CD library, photo library, etc.).
Minimum Job Requirements
  • 2+ years business development/marketing work in a construction related industry.
  • 4+ years marketing experience.
  • BS Degree required.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.

  • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
  • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis

  • Will lift, push or pull objects pounds on an occasional basis
  • Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.
  • Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
