Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation in the United States is seeking a Heavy Assembler to assemble, test, and calibrate parts into heavy subassemblies and final units, following blueprints and specifications.

You will prepare materials, use templates, and ensure accurate assembly while performing basic maintenance and maintaining a safe, efficient workspace on the First Shift in the United States.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Apprenticeship in area of specialty a plus.
• Experienced use of hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous power tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints and parts lists; gathers parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
• Positions parts by templates or measurements; assembles and fastens components; checks fit and verifies specifications; notifies supervisor if resources are needed.
• Keeps equipment operational via preventive maintenance and troubleshooting; reports issues.
• Maintains safe, clean work area by following procedures and documenting actions.
• Maintains inventory by checking stock and placing orders.
