Job summary

Nassau BOCES seeks a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician to perform skilled tasks in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related equipment on a full-time basis.

The role requires a High School diploma and four years of related experience, plus a NYS driver's license and EPA Universal Technician Certification. BMS experience is a plus and the position includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required and four years of satisfactory experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, equipment and machinery.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification required/maintained as determined for servicing all equipment types.
• A valid New York State Driver's License must be continuously possessed.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of highly skilled tasks in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and related equipment
• Performs related duties as required

Job description

You must have the qualifications to become a provisional hire in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician title; you will be required to take the exam when announced by Nassau County Civil Service as well as be reachable when the exam is established.

• Performs related duties as required

Requirements

• High School diploma and four years of satisfactory experience installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, equipment and machinery
• Continuing possession of an appropriate class, valid Driver's License issued by the State of New York
• Continuing possession of the Universal Technician Certification - for servicing all types of equipment - as determined by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Building Management System (BMS) experience a plus
