Job summary

Irving Oil Ltd. is seeking a Heating Service Technician to service customers by diagnosing and repairing oil and propane-fired heating systems. You will install, maintain, and test boilers, furnaces, water heaters, and oil tanks while following safety protocols.

The role includes on-call duties and detailed service documentation. Ideal candidates hold a propane or natural gas license with plumbing/wiring knowledge and prior heating technician experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Valid propane or natural gas license; Nora Certification is a plus.
Knowledge of wiring and plumbing is required.
Heating technician experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot oil and propane-fired boilers, furnaces, water heaters, and oil tanks.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems by reviewing diagnostics and using the proper tools.
Provide final inspections to ensure safe operation after repairs.
Complete daily paperwork for each service call.
Maintain daily and yearly inventory.
Ensure the service truck is in good working order.
Rotational on-call evenings and weekends.
