Job summary

Irving Oil Ltd. in New Hampshire is seeking a Heating Service Technician to service and diagnose oil and propane-fired boilers, furnaces, water heaters and tanks for customers.

You will review diagnostics, perform repairs, and ensure safety through final inspections while keeping accurate service records. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong customer service, and flexibility for on-call evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Valid propane or natural gas license required.
• NORA certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of wiring and plumbing is required.
• Heating technician experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot oil and propane-fired boilers, furnaces, water heaters, and oil tanks
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems that occur by reviewing diagnostics and using the proper tools to complete repairs
• Provide final inspections of systems once repairs are completed to ensure all equipment is operating safely
• Complete appropriate daily paperwork for each service call
• Maintain daily and yearly inventory
• Ensure the service truck is in good working order and reliable
• Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity
• Rotational on‑call evenings and weekends
