Role Description

The Heating Air Conditioning Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Kent, WA. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing system issues, performing routine inspections, completing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory standards. The technician will respond to service calls, communicate findings and solutions to customers, and document work performed accurately. The role also includes collaborating with team members, maintaining company tools and vehicles, and following scheduling and job tracking procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose HVAC issues using strong Troubleshooting skills and apply effective solutions in the field.


• Knowledge of Plumbing systems related to HVAC installations, repairs, and condensate management.


• Experience performing Preventive Maintenance on heating and cooling equipment to improve reliability and efficiency.


• Understanding of Electricity as it applies to HVAC systems, including wiring, controls, and safety practices.


• EPA certification (or eligibility to obtain) for handling refrigerants and complying with environmental regulations.


• Experience with installation, service, and repair of residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems.


• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and work orders, with strong attention to detail.


• Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.


• Physical ability to work in varied environments, including lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.


• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; willingness to follow company safety and operational policies.


• Trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on HVAC experience is strongly preferred.
