Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an HVAC commissioning and maintenance professional to inspect, test, and service commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.

You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, troubleshoot controls, and conduct commissioning to ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires reading drawings, documenting results, coordinating with teams, and upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience performing HVAC preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning services.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls, building automation systems, and mechanical equipment operation.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving, customer service, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, including air handling units, rooftop units, chillers, boilers, pumps, exhaust systems, and associated controls.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues affecting HVAC system performance.
• Conduct commissioning and functional performance testing to verify proper operation of HVAC and building automation systems.
• Inspect installed systems and equipment for compliance with contract documents, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards.
• Verify and document system performance, control sequences, airflow, temperature control, and energy efficiency measures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational deficiencies identified during commissioning, maintenance, or service activities.
• Assist with equipment startup, system balancing, calibration, and owner acceptance testing.
• Prepare detailed service reports, commissioning documentation, maintenance records, and deficiency logs.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, facility staff, and project managers to support successful project delivery and ongoing facility operations.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all applicable safety policies and procedures.
