Job summary

Taurus Industrial Group, LLC is seeking Heat Treatment Technicians to operate and supervise heat treatment equipment across multiple sites. You will monitor equipment, follow blueprints, and collaborate with engineers while maintaining safety and documentation standards at Greensburg, PA and other locations.

Candidates must have a strong mechanical background, be willing to travel up to 75%, and hold a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical bolting, heat treating, or field machining preferred.
• Experience maintaining and turnaround services for refining, chemical, midstream, and power.
• Must be able to travel at least 75% of the time.
• TWIC card possession or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver's license with a clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating heat treatment equipment based on job specifications.
• Monitoring machines to ensure correct conditions during heat treatment.
• Performing inspections to evaluate material properties after heat treatment.
• Conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting on heat treatment equipment.
• Working with engineers to develop and implement heat treatment plans.
• Ensuring safety procedures and regulations during all heat treatment operations.
• Interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and plans.
• Documenting and reporting process results of heat treatment procedures.
• Inspecting finished products to meet quality standards and specifications.
• Calibrating and maintaining heat treatment equipment for optimal operation.

Heat Treatment Technicians are responsible for conducting a process where metal and alloy materials are treated using heat to alter their physical, and sometimes chemical, properties.

This process makes the material more desirable or useful for specific applications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical bolting, heat treating, or field machining preferred.
• Experience performing maintenance and turnaround services to refining, chemical, midstream, and power.
• Demonstrated mechanical ability.
• Must be able travel a minimum of 75% of the time.
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Possess a current TWIC card or have the ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver license with a clear driving record.
