Responsibilities

  • Perform Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS) and System Accuracy Tests (SAT) to ensure heat-treat process compliance.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain heat-treat furnaces and related equipment to support production.
  • Lead daily heat-treat operations while ensuring quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Mentor employees on heat-treat processes and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Production, Planning, and Engineering to support schedules and improvements.
  • Manage tooling, replacement parts, and consumables inventories.
  • Serve as heat-treat SME during audits and maintain process documentation.

Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
  • Perform Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS) and System Accuracy Tests (SAT) to ensure heat-treat process compliance.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain heat-treat furnaces and related equipment to support safe, efficient production.
  • Lead daily heat-treat operations while ensuring compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and industry specifications.
  • Manage pyrometry activities and maintain compliance with AMS 2750, NADCAP, and other applicable standards.
  • Partner with Engineering to develop new tooling, improve heat-treat processes, and implement equipment upgrades.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with internal teams and external service providers.
  • Train and mentor employees on heat-treat processes, equipment operation, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Production, Planning, and Engineering to support production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage tooling, replacement parts, and consumable inventories to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Serve as the heat-treat subject matter expert during internal, customer, and NADCAP audits.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation, equipment calibrations, certifications, operator qualifications, and production records.
  • Ensure all heat-treat equipment remains calibrated and compliant with customer specifications and applicable industry standards.
Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in heat treat operations or a related manufacturing environment.

Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.

Hiring Range $30-$38 per hour
