Qualifications

Heat Treatment Operator / Manufacturing Technician

1st Shift 7AM to 3:30PM

Lowell Area

$19-$21 per Hour

The ideal candidate will be an energetic, self-starter in a manufacturing environment and a team player.

Job Summary

• Responsible for completing general labor assignments in support of production operations.
• Seeks opportunities to improve operations.

Position Responsibilities

• Operates machines such as Batch Graph Furnaces and Line Carb Oven.
• Loads and unloads furnaces.
• Understands and utilizes controls and instruments on heat treating equipment to process materials properly.
• Monitors heating furnaces for specified periods.
• Recognizes, diagnoses, and reports equipment malfunctions; takes necessary in-process actions.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by supervision.
• Must have basic knowledge of vacuum furnaces and heat treating vessels.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Requires 2-3 years minimum experience as a vacuum furnace operator or equivalent work experience.
• May be required to work overtime, change shifts, and work weekends.
• Ability to report to work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, and understand and follow rules/policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in environments exposed to heat, dust, noise, humidity, and odors.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, lift, climb, and stand.
